BLOOD VESSELS OF THE HOOF
This photo clearly shows that the hoof has more than adequate blood supply. However, if the supply is restricted by by an imbalance [ low hoof angle ] then the health of the hoof can be severly compromised and in case of an injury, recovery can be hard if not impossible to acheive.

THIS IS WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN A SHOE IS LEFT ON TO LONG

TEACH YOUR HORSE TO ACCEPT THIS. THIS CAN ALERT YOU TO POTENTIAL PROBLEMS.

BOTH FRONT LEGS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS. IF NOT THEN THE HORSE HAS A BAD KNEE.

UNEVEN SHOULDERS DUE TO INJURY ON LEFT SIDE.

SHEDDING FROG
This is an example of a shedding frog. No cause for alarm. If you feel you must remove it, just use a sharp instrument and slice it off where its attached to the new frog underneath.
