BLOOD VESSELS OF THE HOOF

This photo clearly shows that the hoof has more than adequate blood supply. However, if the supply is restricted by by an imbalance [ low hoof angle ] then the health of the hoof can be severly compromised and in case of an injury, recovery can be hard if not impossible to acheive.

This is an example of a shedding frog. No cause for alarm. If you feel you must remove it, just use a sharp instrument and slice it off where its attached to the new frog underneath.
